No Jail Time in North Carolina If You Stand for your Beliefs

After the shocking events of Kentucky and the jailing of Kim Davis, we could all imagine that the only way for a Bible believing magistrate to avoid jail time is to violate their own religious convictions. But North Carolina has a law that has protected the rights of at least 30 magistrates who chose not to participate in gay marriage.

As Charisma News reports, just after the Obergefell decision legalizing same sex marriage across the nation, North Carolina Courts passed a law that exempts court officials with ‘sincerely held religious objection.’ According to the article only Utah has a similar law at this time.
