475,000 Voter Guides Delivered before HERO Vote in Houston

The National Black Robe Regiment engaged in Houston to help get Houston Area Pastor Council voter guides to the almost 5,000 churches in Houston. We printed 500,000 and delivered 475,000 voter guides in English and Spanish, changing it slightly to have “Vote No on Prop 1” on the front cover. When given factual information before elections, churchgoers are proven to vote Biblical values. The churches were placed on a map and broken down into drive routes for easy delivery.

In the midst of pouring-down rain and flooding, some committed believers in Jesus Christ loaded up boxes of voter
guides and got them out to enough churches to make a huge difference.

Two meetings of Hispanic pastors saw packages of voter guides carried out the door as well as yard signs and 4 x 8 signs.

Mark Gonzales, Executive Director, of National Black Robe Regiment, spoke on Spanish radio and before networks of Hispanic pastors, passionate for Biblical values. The pastors mobilized their people along with Black pastors, who actually have PACs, in which they can officially endorse candidates as well as Asian and White congregations. It was the Body of Christ united for a purpose bigger than their individual ministries that made the difference in Houston.

jpeg 7A team of Black grassroots activists from Virginia delivered door hangers with Vote No on Prop 1 (the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance). The head of the team, Andrew wrote, “We worked the streets of Houston’s 5th Ward, the worst place I’ve ever been. We survived gang bangers and Crips gang members in the 3rd Ward, sweated in the southeast and overcame heavy rain showers in downtown, just to name a few. God’s grace and mercy carried us through! Call me anytime and I will have my rapid response team of foot soldiers ready to assist you!”

A few folks helped our NBRR team—Pastor Buddy Hicks, Humble, delivered voter guides and yard signs in the Kingwood area, members from Victory Outreach helped after Doug Stringer called several ministries for volunteers, and a couple of teams from a youth group in West Houston led by Aimee joyfully delivered voter guides in the rain along with their prevailing prayers. The Black Baptist Ministers Alliance that meets at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church delivered voter guides and yard signs as well. It was a united effort with several organizations mobilizing their networks and NBRR providing the strategy to reach all the protestant churches.

Voters in the 4th largest city in America sent a message to the rest of the nation. Stand up for your values together and you will have victory.
